Brenda Hanna

I was born in 1993, in La Paternal Neighborhood, Buenos Aires but I spent the next 4 years in the desert of Israel. My childhood was  inspiring and free in nature.

When I returned to Argentina my family set up an electronics store. I became obsessed with cameras, photography and video.  At the age of 16 I got my first digital camera and with it, my first job in a circus. In exchange for my audiovisual services I received training in aerial and floor acrobatics, music, and performing arts. I started to give classes for children, worked in the stable show company and later I offered independently different workshops for adults. I also started to receive offers for freelance audiovisual jobs at events or for artists.

I studied Image and Sound Design at the University of Buenos Aires. There I discovered the world of cinema  participating in short films as a photography director and video editing.
My curiosity for traveling during those years took me to Brazil and Mexico for short periods of time, a perfect opportunity to work with my camera for different companies and local artistic projects.

Then I started working in the Department of Culture of the Buenos Aires City Government coordinating activities, workshops and cultural events in hospitals and in vulnerable areas of the city. I was also in charge of audiovisual content, which became vitally important for the continuity of the project  during the covid pandemic.
 

I always knew that when I finished university I would explore other parts of the world and their cultures. With my diploma in one hand and my camera in the other one, I decided to move to Berlin.

So here I am. In Europe I was able to upgrade all my equipment and I expanded my audiovisual universe. Working with Sector 7g Visuals I was introduced to the live world. I specialized in Resolume and Mapping, making visuals for concerts  and festivals.  I also directed, filmed and edited some music videos, which we mixed with analog visual techniques, reintroducing them to modern video art.
 

Currently I work freelance in live streaming, doing stage lighting, photography and animated visuals for live vj sessions, musical events, theater, performance and also producing audiovisual content for full albums, music videos, reels, stories, etc.

Creating and searching for inspiration is what drives me. It's what gives purpose to my life.
